"I just wanted to update you on how Scout is doing. Everything is going wonderfully with him! I’ve switched to a new bit, and it’s a huge improvement over what I was using before. Just the other day, I took him for a lope around the area, and we worked on some sharp turns. We also practiced various halts—it was quite the workout! I’m genuinely thrilled with how he’s progressing. He’s turning out to be an incredible horse, and the training you did with him has really paid off. I’m so thankful for all your help.
I’m comfortable enough now to start loping him, and I’m eager to begin barrel training. However, the continuous rain has been a bit of a challenge. I’m hesitant to start barrel racing in these slick conditions because I want to make sure both Scout and I stay safe. Despite the weather, Scout is doing great. I’d love to share some pictures of his progress with you once I have a chance to take a few. Between riding, bonding with him, and taking care of him, the rainy weather hasn’t left much time for photography, but Scout is truly thriving. He’s found his place here, especially with his new best friend, Max.
